Innovative Decision Making

What it is

Decision making is one of the most demanded tasks from managers of all levels and sectors within a company. It usually takes a fraction of a second, but every single decision made can have a significant impact on an entire organization, performance, and results. Innovative Decision Making is a self-assessment methodology and intensive workshop created to meet the universal need of those who are in business: always make the best decisions. The IDM methodology provides an overview and evaluation of their personal decision-making styles and provides a practical set of tools to improve overall creativity in their decision-making process. The ultimate goal of IDM is to empower each participant to have greater creative ability to effectively employ during problem-solving.

Obiettivi

The Innovative Decision Making Workshop allows you to:

  • Use the tools learned during the workshop to improve your innovation-related skills: Openness to innovations, Coping strategies for managing uncertainty, Risk Acceptance, and Holistic Brain.
  • Differentiate the mental ability to “think with the left hemisphere” (which conventionally was once considered to influence deductive-logical thinking) and with the “right” one (which in the past was thought to be correlated exclusively with abstract and creative thinking) to improve every part of their decision-making process revealed through their IDM survey feedback.

(N.B.: Recent studies that fall under the Neurosciences have actually recently shown that areas of the two cerebral hemispheres are activated simultaneously, both in the production of logical thought and during ideative and creative processing. There is therefore not such a clear separation “Left Hemisphere Vs Right Hemisphere” in brain function. This holistic vision of the brain is today considered the most scientifically reliable)

  • Organize and carry out decisions using the four-phase model: identification, research, evaluation and selection.
  • Create an operational development plan, draw up a precise list of things to do and how to do them, based on the data that emerged from the survey and what was learned during the workshop.

Methodology

Innovative Decision Making has been designed to be used both as a training tool to optimize the decision-making process, and as a consulting and supervision tool to support companies and individuals who need to improve their ability to respond promptly to decision-making situations. Companies often use IDM when they need to start innovation in their business, such as implementing and developing advertising campaigns. Companies can choose to bring real cases during the workshop, to receive supervision and consultation in the classroom on specific cases from the trainer.
