STRAIGHT TO THE EMOTIONS
28 April 2015Deal, Mortillaro and Scherer (2012), leading researchers at the Affective Sciences – Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research at the University of Geneva, have proposed an interesting tool for encoding body language, postures and body language in general: the Body Action and Posture coding system (BAP).
The tool, which can be consulted and downloaded completely free of charge atwww.affective-sciences.org/gemep/BAP_coding, aims to further raise the scientific standard in the field of objective measurement of non-verbal behaviour, in order to assess which muscular actions of the body occur in conjunction with emotions, or during the complex process of interpersonal communication.
